Fried chicken and Som Tam are some of the more famous dishes you’ll find on the streets of Bangkok, Thailand, but the city is no stranger to vegetarian food. If you’re heading to this colorful and lively city, you won’t have a difficult time finding food to suit your lifestyle. Here are the 10 best vegetarian restaurants in Bangkok.
1. Tien Sin
Hours: Mon-Sat: 7am-3pm
Address: Thanon Si Wiang

Don’t let appearances fool you. This humble street stall serves a mean vermicelli noodle soup with a radish sweetness and peppery flavor that’s complex and captivating. If you’d like, you can add rice to your meal, as well as a myriad of side dishes. There are several other food options, and I’m certain they’re all as delicious as the soup.
2. Bonita Café and Social Club

This café exhibits a vintage vibe and caters well to vegetarians. I had breakfast, and later, a veggie burger here and loved every bit, despite the simplicity of the meals. They were well cooked, well seasoned, and delicious to the last bite. This one may be my personal favorite.
3. May Veggie Home

You won’t find any cow milk here. Every item that requires milk is made with rice milk, with the exception of the coconut milk ice cream – and goodness is it delicious. I had the Mock Fish with a mango side salad and was extremely satisfied.

This restaurant doesn’t only serve great food – it hosts cooking workshops and yoga classes that anyone can be a part of. The food is heavily influenced by the cuisine of Myanmar. I had the Cauliflower Curry and was deeply satisfied. Both the indoor and outdoor seating is comfortable.

The Tom Yum Gung Sushi here was jaw-dropping delicious. The Tom Yum sauce featured the perfect balance of spiciness and sourness, and was just as refreshing as it’s meant to be. The Nori was fresh and the Soy Prawns complimented the sauce well. I finished the meal off with a Beetroot Smoothie, which was sweet and pleasant. The only downside to this restaurant is the higher than average price.
6. Broccoli Revolution

Phone: +66 95 251 9799

Though this place is named after broccoli, that’s not what I ordered. Instead, I tried the stunning charcoal burger, which was grilled to perfection. I cannot suggest that burger enough. The interior is hip as can be with an art gallery on the second floor and rooftop seating coming soon.
7. Ingreendient

This restaurant doubles as a healthy grocery store, carrying ready-made meals that can be microwaved and eaten on the spot. There’s also a full-service menu, however, featuring options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The rich flavor of the Cauliflower Rice took me by surprise. If you try it out yourself, don’t forget to remove the avocado before microwaving the meal.
8. Chennai Kitchen

This restaurant serves inexpensive Indian vegetarian food that is simple, cost-effective, and fuss-free. I tried a bit of the Salty Lassi, Mysore Masala Dosai, and Butter Masala Dosai. Each meal was fantastic and the sauces were created with skill. The food overall was tasty and the Lassi paired with everything perfectly.
9. Koko Thai and Vegetarian Cuisine

This casual café exudes a chill vibe and conscious food. The Tom Yum Mushroom was spicy and delicious, just like I wanted it to be. The mushrooms were noticeably fresh and the staff was incredibly friendly.
10. Sustaina Organic Restaurant

The vegetarian choices at Sustaina are off-the-charts delicious. I had the smoked vegetables, which were intensely aromatic and wonderfully seasoned. The meals didn’t only taste incredible, but they looked it too. Every dish we ordered was plated beautifully and soared above expectations.
