In the northwestern-most tip of Spain lies Galicia, a coastal region rich in natural resources, breathtaking views and plenty of beaches. With seafood as their main export, it was a bit tough finding veggie-friendly cuisine, but totally possible.
1. Factoria Verde

Hours – Mon – Sat: 10am–9pm; Sat 11am –5:00pm

As the only fully vegan grocer and restaurant in La Coruña, A Factoria Verde (A Green Factory) is an obvious top pick of ours. Buy top-notch vegan foods like chorizo, violife cheeses and old-fashioned donuts and have a ball at home, or eat in-store and enjoy dishes like eggplant parmesan, characuterie platter or spiced potato empanadas. We especially loved their Raxo a la plancha, grilled seitan pork, and the Delishu cashew cheese they sell in their dairy case.
2. Thai Market
Address – Avenida de La Marina 25, 15003, La Coruna
Hours – 12PM – 4 PM; 8 PM – 11:45 PM
Phone – +34 881 918 531
As one of the only Asian eateries in La Coruna, Thai Market has the Thai market cornered (see what we did there?). The Khao Pad Kratiam can be made 100% vegan by omitting egg and the Thai Roll appetizer is also vegan. Many things on their menu can easily be made vegan or vegetarian. Although we did enjoy the Khao Pad, it didn’t strike us as anything special. Still, a great option in a city without a plethora of vegan-friendly choices.
Address – Av. de Arteixo, 43, 15008 A Coruña, C, España

Sometimes all we really want is a juicy, vegan burger. The Good Burger is a Spain-only burger chain that has one vegan burger featuring Beyond Meat’s burger patty. It’s not ideal, but it is a vegan choice at the very least. Their fries are made in a shared fryer, so not 100% vegan.
Address/Hours/Phone – multiple locations
Beloved and famed family-owned and operated Bonilla a la Vista has been producing delicious churros con chocolate and potato crisps since 1932. Thankfully, both of the items they are most famous for are 100% vegan! Their crispy-on-the-outside-pillow-soft-on-the-inside churros are delicately dusted with granulated sugar and taste heavenly both with or without their silky smooth water-based chocolate, which you dip the churro into (if you please). Their famous potato chips are airy, crispy and light and are made only with 100% olive oil.
5. IBI Helados
Address – Avenida Montoto , 15001 A Coruña, Spain
Hours – 10:30am to 9pm daily
Phone – +34 881 92 86 09
Freshly made gelato in several vegan-friendly flavors are the name of the game at IBI Helados. Dark chocolate, mango, strawberry, pistachio and cantaloupe were four of the flavors available at IBI when we visited. The pistachio was our favorite, creamy and flavorful with lots of flavor, complemented perfectly by the refreshingly subtlety sweet cantaloupe.
