Lukumades athens

Lukumades are dreamy, soft and sweet balls of fried dough.

A traditional Greek treat gets a modern upgrade at Lukumades, a cafe with its namesake. Lukumades are fluffy, deep-fried dough balls (similar to zeppoles, their Italian counterpart) that are topped with sugar, chocolate and, traditionally, Greek honey and cinnamon sugar. Vegans can opt instead for icing sugar in order to avoid the honey. Lukumades cafe has also added injected fillings to spice up the sweets, all of which are not vegan-friendly but are vegetarian.
